4. Order Tracking
Where tracking is available for your shipment, we will send tracking details to the email address provided with your order after the order has been dispatched and handed to the carrier. Tracking information may take some time to become active once scanned by the carrier. Please retain your order confirmation and tracking details until delivery is complete.
5. Delivery Address Accuracy & Property Access
Customers are responsible for providing a complete and accurate delivery address during checkout. Please verify recipient name, building number, street, town, postcode, and contact telephone number. For sofa deliveries, please also ensure that doorways, hallways, and staircases allow adequate clearance for the packaged furniture. We cannot guarantee address amendments after an order has entered dispatch processing.
6. Delivery Delays
Our normal estimated delivery period is 4–9 business days, subject to the order cut-off. Occasionally, deliveries may be affected by circumstances outside our reasonable control, such as carrier transport disruption or severe weather. If we become aware of a significant delay, we will take reasonable steps to notify you. Nothing in this policy limits or excludes your statutory consumer rights relating to delayed or failed delivery.
7. Missing, Undelivered or Damaged Parcels
- Missing Parcels: If tracking indicates an unexpected delay or your package has exceeded the expected delivery window, contact our team and we will liaise directly with the courier.
- Transit Damage: If a sofa arrives visibly damaged, please notify our team promptly. Providing packaging photographs helps us resolve the matter quickly. Your statutory rights regarding faulty or damaged goods are fully detailed in our Returns & Refunds Policy.

📍 Returns & Refunds Policy
Returns & Refunds Policy
At Gaafour Furniture, we want you to be completely confident when purchasing sofas from us. We offer a 28-day returns policy in addition to the statutory rights available to UK consumers.
Nothing in this policy limits or excludes your statutory rights under applicable UK consumer law.
Return Policy Summary
- Return Period: 28 calendar days from delivery, subject to the conditions explained below.
- Return Shipping Cost: £0.00 – Free of Charge when using our designated prepaid return method.
- Restocking Fee: £0.00 – No restocking fee whatsoever.
- Return Method: By mail/courier drop-off or collection only.
- Prepaid Return Label: Included with your delivery package.
- Refund Currency: Pound Sterling (GBP, £).
- Refund Method: Returned directly to the original payment method (Visa or Mastercard).
1. Your Statutory Cancellation Rights (First 14 Days)
For eligible purchases made online, UK consumers generally have a statutory right to cancel their order within 14 days after the day the goods are delivered without providing a reason. After informing us that you wish to cancel, you must return or send the goods back within the period required by applicable law.
During the statutory cancellation period, you may handle and inspect a sofa to the extent reasonably necessary to establish its nature, characteristics and functionality, in a similar way to how you might reasonably inspect furniture in a physical shop. If handling goes beyond what is reasonably necessary and results in a reduction in the value of the sofa, we may make an appropriate deduction from the refund where permitted by law.
Opening the packaging does not, by itself, remove your statutory cancellation rights.
2. Additional 28-Day Change-of-Mind Returns (Days 15–28)
In addition to your statutory cancellation rights, we voluntarily extend our standard change-of-mind return period to 28 calendar days from delivery.
For change-of-mind returns made after the statutory cancellation period and within our additional 28-day return period, the sofa must be:
- Unused;
- Unassembled (where modular assembly was required);
- In a clean and resalable condition;
- Complete with all original cushions, legs, bolts, accessories and tools supplied with the product; and
- Returned in its original packaging with the protective materials supplied with it, where reasonably possible.
*These additional conditions apply to our voluntary extended return policy and do not limit your statutory consumer rights.
3. How to Return a Sofa (By Mail Only)
Returns are accepted by mail or courier using our designated prepaid return method:
- Step 1 – Prepare the Sofa: Carefully repack the sofa components and all supplied hardware. Where components can safely be packed, they should be placed securely inside the original protective packaging. Do not force the disassembly of permanently attached frame components.
- Step 2 – Use the Prepaid Return Label: A prepaid return label is included with your delivery package. Attach the return label securely to the outside of the packaging, covering or removing the original delivery label. (If missing, please contact our team before dispatch).
- Step 3 – Dispatch the Parcel: Drop off the parcel at the designated carrier location specified on your prepaid label, or follow the carrier collection instructions. Please retain your proof of postage or collection receipt until your refund is completed. Return shipping is 100% free.
4. Return Inspection and Refunds
- Inspection Timetable: Once a returned sofa reaches our returns facility, we aim to inspect it and issue the applicable refund within 3 business days. Where statutory cancellation rights apply, refunds will always be processed within any applicable statutory refund deadline.
- Payment Method: Refunds will normally be made using the same payment method used for the original transaction. As our website accepts Visa and Mastercard debit and credit cards only, refunds will be returned to the card used for the purchase.
- Settlement Currency: Refunds are processed in Pound Sterling (GBP, £). After we issue the refund, your bank or card issuer may require additional processing time before the credit appears in your account.
- Zero Deductions: We do not charge any refund fee or restocking fee (£0.00).
5. Faulty, Damaged or Incorrect Sofas
Your statutory consumer rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 are entirely separate from our change-of-mind returns policy. If a sofa is faulty, damaged when delivered, not as described, or incorrect, please contact our Customer Care Team as soon as reasonably possible.
We encourage customers to report visible delivery damage within 48 hours where possible, as early notification helps us investigate delivery issues promptly. Failure to report a problem within 48 hours does not affect your statutory consumer rights. We will bear the return costs for goods returned because they are faulty, damaged, or non-conforming.
6. Missing Return Label
If your prepaid return label is missing from your delivery box, please do not purchase return postage yourself before contacting us. Simply email support@gaafourfurniture.co.uk and our team will promptly issue a digital prepaid replacement label.

Assembly & Sofa Specifications
Q: Do your sofas require assembly?
A: Assembly requirements vary depending on the specific sofa model. Most sofas arrive largely pre-assembled, requiring only simple setup such as attaching the legs or slotting modular sections together. Please check the individual product page and follow the instructions supplied with your sofa.
Q: Do your upholstered sofas comply with UK furniture fire safety requirements?
A: Where applicable, upholstered sofas supplied by us must meet the requirements of the Furniture and Furnishings (Fire) (Safety) Regulations 1988, as amended. Relevant upholstery and filling materials are subject to applicable fire-safety requirements under those Regulations. Please contact our team if you require specific information relating to a particular upholstered model.
Returns & Refunds
Q: What is your returns policy?
A: We provide a 28-day return period from the date your order is delivered:

These conditions do not affect your statutory consumer rights. Please see our Return & Refund Policy for complete instructions.

A: Once your returned sofa is received at our returns facility, we aim to inspect it and issue the applicable refund within 3 business days. Refunds are issued strictly to the original Visa or Mastercard used for payment.
